MTN Night Browsing Plan Subscription Code and Balance Check

Hello, We will be looking at the MTN night browsing data plan subscription code, how to stop it's auto renewal, and how to check your data balance.

Before we proceed, please note that gone are those days that MTN used to offer us 500MB data for just 25 Naira. I don't know what has come over them, but I know that surely, they will loose customers to Airtel night browsing plan. Though, the price of 9mobile's is the same as theirs.

MTN Night Browsing Code

To start with, I will like to  give you the MTN Night plan code.

There are two types of MTN Night browsing subscriptions which are;

• 125MB for 25 Naira
• 250MB for 50 Naira

To subscribe for that of 125MB, all you have to do is dial *406#, then select "4" for Nightlife bundles, after which the final page pops up which you will then select "1". After following the above steps, they will send you a success message like the one below.

Dear customer, you have successfully subscribed to Free Night Browsing between 00:00 and 04:00. N25 has been deducted from your account.

As for the 250MB for 50 Naira, all you have to do is to repeat the first step and second step of the above. But in the last step, instead of selecting "1", send "2" and you are good to go. For example, *406# >> 4 >> 2. You will receive a success notification message like the one below.

Dear customer, you have successfully subscribed to Free Night Browsing between 00:00 and 04:00. N50 has been deducted from your account.

Please note that only MTN pulse subscribers are eligible for this offer. So in-case you are not subscribed to pulse and you wish to subscribe for this bundle, all you have to do is migrate by dialing *406# then select "1" to migrate to MTN pulse.

Note:

In-case you tried texting the regular 'Night' to 131 and they still didn't subscribe you, don't panic because your credit won't be deducted. All you have to do is use the above USSD codes.

I will like you to note that in-case you were not able to exhaust your data before 4AM, the remaining bundle balance will be whipped and you won't be able to use it the next day.

Don't forget that there are other amazing offers for MTN pulse subscribers. For example, the 1GB for 500 Naira plan is available for only pulse customers.

How to check MTN Night plan Data Balance

Though there is no command which you can use to check your balance, MTN notifies us on the percentage of data we have remaining. For example, if you use up to 70%, they send you a message telling you, you have used up 70% of your bundle. This is important because it helps prevent us from using our credit unknowingly to browse.
An alternative method is by using the data manager on your device to check the amount you have used over a specified period of time. All android devices have a data manager which you can easily access by going to your mobile data options in your device settings panel.
